Everything actors ask before their first rehearsal.
Is Rehearsay really free?
Yes. Rehearsal is unlimited and free forever — you can run your lines as much as you like on every plan, including the free one. The only limit on the free plan is how many new scripts you add each month. Practice itself is never metered.
Does my voice get sent to the cloud?
Your rehearsal audio — the microphone input used to check whether you got a line right — is processed entirely on your device and is never uploaded. The only time audio leaves your device is if you deliberately opt into voice cloning, where the sample you record is uploaded so we can build your custom voice. You can delete that voice and its sample at any time.
How does voice cloning handle my recording?
Voice cloning is an opt-in feature. When you record a sample to clone, that audio is uploaded to secure storage and processed to create a voice you can assign to characters. You confirm you have the right to clone the voice before recording, and you can delete any cloned voice — and the underlying sample — whenever you want.
Can I use Rehearsay offline?
Once you've added a script while online, you can rehearse it with no signal — in the wings, on the train, or in a hotel room before your tape. Adding a new script needs a connection because the script is parsed in the cloud, but rehearsing scripts you've already added works offline.
What happens to the scripts I upload?
When you add a script, its text is processed in the cloud to detect the characters and lines, then saved to your account so it syncs across your devices. You can delete a script at any time, which removes it from your library.
How do I delete my data?
You can delete individual scripts and cloned voices from inside the app whenever you like. To delete your whole account and the data associated with it, contact us at
privacy@rehearsay.app and we'll remove it.
Do I need to create an account to try it?
No. You can run a real scene right on the homepage with no signup, and you can start rehearsing in the app without creating an account. Signing in with Google is only needed if you want your scripts and progress to sync across devices.
Does Rehearsay work on iPhone and Android?
Yes. Rehearsay runs in your mobile browser — there's nothing to download or install. It works on iPhone and Android as well as desktop.
How does Rehearsay check my lines?
As you say a line out loud, Rehearsay listens and checks whether you got it right, then cues the next line automatically. The check runs on your device, so you get hands-free, private feedback without sending your voice anywhere.
Is Rehearsay a good alternative to other line-learning apps?
Rehearsay is a free scene partner that reads every other role aloud, hears you say your lines and checks you got them right, and helps you memorize faster with spaced repetition. Unlike many line apps, it has a free tier with unlimited practice, works on mobile and offline, and keeps your rehearsal audio on your device.
